Jacqueline Rivera, LMFT (she/hers)
Jacqueline has been interested in the field of psychology since she was a child. She was driven to pursue mental health as a career after having the lived experience of growing up in a Latino home with a father who had substance dependence issues. Jacqueline’s mother passed away when she was just 17 years old and this was an even greater confirmation to Jacqueline that she should enter the field of psychology and help out people who were just like her. Jacqueline noticed how little resources there were when it came to mental health and experienced the lack of emotional availability from her own family. Jacqueline has extensive field experience working with the severely mentally ill population and also enjoys working with folks who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, the plight of the first generation US born Latinos and personality disorders. Jacqueline also gives back to her spiritual community and offers guidance and counsel to Latino youth and their parents from the same area where she was raised through lectures and classes.
